Take advantage of these educational opportunities
Dialogue of Civilizations
Join our faculty on summer programs focusing on critical topics facing local and global students. Students spend a month abroad — in places like Cuba, Peru, Iceland, and Germany — while taking two classes, visiting regional tech companies, and engaging with international experts in CS and other fields. This opportunity is available after your first two semesters. Check back for information on 2026 Dialogue programs.
Semester In
Discover one of Northeastern’s Global Network campuses in a semester-long immersive experience where you’ll engage in industry site-visits, networking events with alumni, guest lectures, and regional co-ops — all while taking courses with exceptional faculty. Semester In is a great way to explore a new city and build your network while staying supported by Northeastern staff and faculty. Locations include Oakland, London, Seattle, and Portland.

Summer In
Experience a robust summer curriculum in a new city. In addition to being a unique opportunity to network with local companies and explore cultural landmarks, Summer In provides you with an academic experience focused on a specific topic. The program is currently offered in Seattle, home of tech giants like Northeastern industry partner Amazon, and also in Oakland. Check back for information on 2026 Summer In programs.
Global co-op
Enhance your career opportunities by going global with international companies and organizations, while broadening your cultural horizons. From Canada and Germany to Ghana and Japan, you’ll gain professional experience in new settings while collaborating with colleagues from a wide array of cultural backgrounds. Together, you’ll tackle the big problems of computer science — and build the international network that will launch your career.

N.U.in
Grounded by Northeastern’s core belief that students should be engaged citizens of the world, N.U.in students begin their very first semester abroad before transitioning to Boston in their second semester. As part of Northeastern’s Specialized Entry Programs, you’ll join an ambitious and adventurous cohort of peers who will soon become a core part of your network and community. Locations include Portugal, Scotland, Greece, and Ireland.

Traditional Study Abroad
Take advantage of Northeastern’s global connections — in locations that include Athens, Rome, Madrid, Cape Town, Budapest, Hong Kong, Sydney, and more — to deepen your knowledge of the world, explore international cities and cultures, and grow as a global citizen.
