Codewalks

As part of your homework assignments you will have also perform a codewalk of your solution to the the class and the class staff. A codewalk will be a 15-20 minutes slot during your lab section where you will present your design and walk through your implementation. During your codewalk the course staff and your classmates will have the opportunity to ask questions about your design and implementation.


Codewalk Presenter

As a Presenter your goal is to clearly explain your design and how your code adheres (follows) from your desing.


Codewalk Audience

As a member of the audience during a codewalk your goal is to understand the solution (design and implementation) and provide constructive feedback to the presenter on the solution and their presentation skills.

  • You will be required to provide feedback by completing our feedback form. Your competed feedback form should be uploaded in your codewalk repo no later than 24hours after the codewalk. The course staff and the presenter will read your (anonymized) feedback. For each presenter you should
    1. Download the feedback form
    2. If this is the first presenter name your file 1.md, if this is the second presenter for the day name the file 2.md etc.
    3. Use a plain text editor to rank each question in the feedback form and write your feedback to the presenter.
    4. Save and upload your completed feedback form to your codewalk repository named cw-N-LOGIN where where, N is the week number, LOGIN is your CCIS login name.

  • Public rubric. The public rubric contains common questions that you should be able to answer for the presentation's material.
