As an undergraduate, I considered majoring in music before deciding on computer science.  Although I chose computers, I was an active jazz musician at Fredonia, and still enjoy playing and actively listening to jazz.  Here are some links to my favorite musicians' websites.

• Michael Brecker - Amazing saxophonist who just passed (too soon)
• Dave Holland - Leader of both my favorite big band and quintent
• Charles Mingus - The most innovative composer of the past century
• Toshiko Akiyoshi - Fantastic and imaginative big band composer
• Bill Watrous - My favorite trombonist, and a great funk/jazz composer
• Dizzy Gillespie - Can't say much that hasn't already been said
• Kurt Elling - Fantastic jazz vocalist and a true master of the art of vocalese 
• Béla Fleck and the Flecktones - Jazz banjo virtuoso and the Wooten bros.!!
• Soul Rebels - Amazing, powerful and raw brass band from New Orleans
• YoungBlood Brass Band - Combines the NoLa sound with Latin, Afro-Cuban and hip-hop influences (also notice the YBBB lyrics on the bottom of my page)
