Mobile Application Development is a project-oriented course that examines the principles of mobile application design and development. Students will learn application development and design on the Android platform. Students are expected to design and develop a professional-quality mobile application that addresses a real-world problem in an innovative way. Coursework includes project conception, design, implementation, and pilot testing of mobile phone software applications. Preliminary apps built are innovative word games. Fina project apps built focus on health and fitness. For more details, see the syllabus for the appropriate year.

Alum apps:

Here are a few apps that I'm aware of that have been deployed out on the app store by alums of the course, some based on their class projects. I'm sure there are many more because numerous alums have careers in mobile development. (Alums: let me know if there are apps to add here)
