In the maintenance of the CCS WWW server, these guidelines help shape
its future:
- Maintain a stable server that reliable serves documents to parties
viewing the CCIS WWW tree.
- Provide the necessary means for CCS parties to create and/or modify
their section(s) of the WWW tree in an efficient manner.
- Provide WWW sources of interest to the CCIS community or as a
service to computer science as a whole.
- Strive to prevent sensitive information being viewed by unauthorized
parties.
As a user of the CCIS WWW server these issues should be considered
before posting a page:
- Any material that is prohibited in the user agreement can not be
served from the WWW tree. Should prohibited content be found, either a
warning message will be issued or possible revocation of WWW
privileges will occur.
- Any site deemed contrary to the research and educational goals of
the college that hinders performance in serving research and
educationally geared material will have action taken against it.
- Non CCIS related pages that do not reside under a personal WWW tree
will be referred to IS. CCIS Systems is to provide CCIS-related
material, IS provides campus wide computing facilities.
