Offers a seminar course for freshman honors students in computer science and for freshman honors students in other majors who are concurrently taking COM 1100, COM 1101, or COM 1201 respectively, or who have completed these courses. Introduces a variety of topics that extend the material in the standard freshman computer science courses or go beyond the scope of these courses.1 QH credit
Prerequisite: Enrollment in the honors program or permission of the instructor.
This is an elective seminar course for all majors.

The goal of this course is to give the best first year students an opportunity to explore a variety of topics in computer science, work on a small group project, and present the project to the rest of the class.
This course is intended for honors freshmen in their first year. Student must participate in the honors program, or has to secure a permission of the instructor.
Varies with each year, though communications skills are an integral part of the course each time it is offered.
