CCIS Undergraduate Semester Information

Semester Information for Prospective Students

Prospective students will be able to find on this site the key documents that will explain the courses and curricula for the 6 degree programs offered in the College of Computer and Information Science. If you are a prospective student and you look at one of the curriculum summaries, simply focus on the right hand column that lists the semester information. The left hand column is useful only for current students.

General Semester Information

Northeastern University will switch to the semester calendar in Fall 2003. The calendar will consist of two 15-week semesters in the Fall (September-December) and the Spring (January-April) and two 7 1/2-week Summer sessions (May-June and July-August). Semester Transition Advising for Current Students

Every undergraduate student must meet with an advisor to plan the schedule for the remaining time under the quarter system and the transition to the semester curriculum. To schedule an appointment, see Semester Conversion Appointment Scheduling.

Semester Transition Financial Planning Information

The Office of the Provost and the Student Financial Services (SFS) office have prepared documents and worksheets for financial planning for students who will transition from quarters to semesters.

There is also web based software that will permit students to estimate semester financial aid based on quarter financial aid. You will need your 2002-2003 financial aid information from either your most recent award letter or from myNeu.
