having different instructions for linux and
 unix is redundant. For all intents and purposes, Linux is a Unix.

Hi Johan:

please can you write instructions on how to install Demeter/Java
under Linux.

Since you have done it successfully, please can you do it
quickly so that the students can work on their machines at home.

	  Might it be possible for me to download DemJava for use on my Linux system?
	I have the Sun JDK for Java 1.0.2 on my system at home and it does recognize
	Java binaries on the command line.  I know the source is available but I don't
	fully understand how it would be installed.  Any help you could provide would
	make my task a little easier so that I don't have to rely on a decent network
	connection from my service provider to CCS in order to do my project.
