See 1999 (youngest file) for latest seminar information. The seminar covers issues related to engineering of adaptable and adaptive software systems. Good separation of concerns in software is an important theme of the seminar and we will discuss this topic in the context of Adaptive and Aspect-Oriented Programming. The seminar is suitable for students who are currently taking COM 3360 or who have taken COM 3360 earlier or who have taken the course COM3230 on OO design. The seminar is also suitable for advanced software developers in industry or academia who have read some of our papers/book on Adaptive Programming. (See http://www.ccs.neu.edu/research/demeter) Depending on the interests of the industrial participants we will add a specific technology transfer component (in both directions) to the seminar. If you are wondering how to apply Adaptive Programming to specific applications, take a look at Demeter in Action to get an idea of what others have done. There is a good chance that you will be able to apply many of the ideas in these solutions to your own work.
