Lorenz" To: Ibrahim Matta cc: rraj@ccs.neu.edu, lieber@ccs.neu.edu Subject: Jini Hi, Perhaps this can be the glue to our proposal? Jini technology lets you network anything, anytime, anywhere. Jini is a Sun R&D project inspired by Bill Joy that dramatically expands the power of Java technology. Jini technology enables spontaneous networking of a wide variety of hardware and software - anything that can be connected. See also: http://java.sun.com/products/jini/index.html We can extend jini with capabilities that are sensitive to the network state. Add adaptiveness a la Demeter. etc. Just a thought, -- David
