The part of the paper you gave me is well written and contains
an excellent motivation for the Law. We could summarize it 
by saying that the Law is needed because 
scope changes in a discontinuous and volatile fashion
in object-oriented languages.

As we planned, give me your part, with typos removed,
on Monday, and I will combine the two.
Please also tell me how big the pictures are going to be 
(in mm) and indicate where they go.
