The latest word2x (0.005) suggestion was unfortunately 0-4 on the
.docs I tried it against, generating the null output in 3 cases, and
crashing on Gregor's submission. From word2x's homepage, I found wv,
which claims to be able to deal with word 8 format, and looks as if it
is what ABIWORD uses to read word files.
However, configure wasn't able to grok ccs directory structure, so
I've asked systems to build it for me.
