Hi Ann-Marie: I welcome your proposed process. Now we can offer the TAPOS community a transition path: In 2000, we have a 'Object Systems: Practice and Experience' section part of CPE with 192 pages spread throughout the year. For 2001, we will have a new journal with a title that encompasses both CPE style papers and TAPOS style papers that have a significant Practice and Experience component. I was hoping that we could make some progress towards the new title. It seems a challenge to have a good title that does not conflict with your other journal: Software: Practice and Experience. Geoffrey and Roberto and I had some email exchange about this. What are your current thoughts on a new title? For 2001, Roberto and I can certainly increase the page count of our contribution if that would be good from a business point of view. What is important now is that we go out and inform our associate editors, editorial board and our authors about the plan. I think it is good that Roberto and I share our statement with you before we send it out. Here is a proposal: ====================== From: Karl Lieberherr and Roberto Zicari To: TAPOS authors Dear ====================== -- Karl >From ahalliga@wiley.co.uk Fri Oct 1 07:37:25 1999 >To: Karl Lieberherr >cc: gcf@npac.syr.edu, zicari@informatik.uni-frankfurt.de >Subject: Re: TAPOS > >Hello Karl > >Whilst I really do appreciate your comments, there are unfortunately some >immutable facts: > >1.
