Introduction

The tutorials come in several flavors. There is a suite of introductory tutorials that build a sequence of four simple programs and introduce Java Power Tools classes in a step-by-step fashion. These tutorials are the place to start in learning about the Java Power Tools. After this, there are tutorial documents on the class structure of JPT and on using Java 2D Graphics. Finally, there are two extended examples that form case studies.

Introductory Tutorials

The JPT Introductory Tutorials are designed to lead a novice through building simple GUIs using the JPT toolkit. The tutorials illustrate the uses of the basic GUI components, the techniques for installing them in the views and the mechanism for communicating between the data models and views.
