About Me

I received my Ph.D. degree from Computer Science Department University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) in December 2012. I got my M.S. degree in Signal and Information Processing in July 2007, and B.S. degrees in Computer Science and in Statistics in June 2004 from Peking University, China.

What's New

  • Apr. 2013: We are orgnaizing Mining Data Semantics in Heterogeneous Information Networks Workshop (MDS'2013)  in conjunction with SIGKDD2013:  http://arnetminer.org/MDS2013 (submission deadline: May 20th); and Workshop on Heterogeneous Information Network Analysis (HINA'13) in conjuction with IJCAI2013: http://www.kddresearch.org/Workshops/HINA-2013/ (submission deadline: May 14th).
  • Jan. 2013: I start my new position as an assistant professor in Northeastern University.
  • Dec. 2012: Paper "ETM: Entity Topic Models for Mining Documents Associated with Entities" (ICDM'12) is selected as one of the best papers in ICDM'12 and is invited to KAIS journal submission.
  • Dec. 2012: Paper "PathSelClus: Integrating Meta-Path Selection with User-Guided Object Clustering in Heterogeneous Information Networks" is accepted by ACM TKDD journal special issue.
