Recommended textbook: Fischer and LeBlanc, Crafting a Compiler with C, 1991.

Documentation on quirk13 is available online.

One midterm and one final examination will be given. About 50 per cent of the final grade will be determined by the exams, and the other 50 per cent by the programming assignments and the term project.

The term project is to modify a quirk13 compiler to make it generate faster code. The instructor will provide a working quirk13 compiler, or you may use your own.
