Directory: /course/com172x
Books:
No books are required for this course.
You will be required to read some things on the World-Wide Web.
This course is an elective with no mandatory syllabus.
Our theme for this quarter will be the lore of programming.
Grading:
- Grading will consist entirely of homework and quiz scores.
- Most homework will take the form of readings on the World-Wide
Web, and will be graded via quizzes and the instructor's
subjective impression of your participation in class.
- Quizzes may be given at the beginning of class, and may cover
any material previously presented or assigned for reading.
Because of the quizzes, it is important to read the assigned
material, to attend class, and to arrive on time.
- To allow for illness and other exceptional situations, your
lowest score (whether homework or quizzes) will not be used
to compute your grade in the course.
- There will be no midterm or final exam.
