The required assignments have blue labels. These exercises will help you to master the basic concepts for the given week. You may also turn in any of the orange-labeled problems from that week for extra credit.

Turn in each assignment with a cover page (see example here) that specifies the following pieces of information:

• the names of the two partners
• their student id numbers (last four digits only)
• a lecture section that you attend
• the name of the grading group (will be assigned on first returned homework)
• the problem set number

Omission of this information leads to immediate loss of all credit for the homework.
