Card Games

This page has rules for some card games I've invented. As a rule, these games tend to work with a standard 52-card deck (or easily handled variations).

Everything here is made available under a Creative Commons Attribution license. You are free to do whatever you want with it, as long as you credit where you got it from. Feel free to email me with any comments; let me know if you particularly like something, or if you've come up with any fun variations.

• Dang It!: a simple fast-paced game, suitable for children, and good for whenever you want something fun without too much thinking.
• Jericho: a 2-player strategy game with unusual and elegant rules. My favorite game for when I want one that takes some thought.
• Knotweed: a fast little card-shedding game, with an unusual rhythm and strategy.
• Mongoose: a simple 2-player game, where you try to assemble the best hand from a shared pool of cards, but with unusual rules that mean almost every move can have unintended consequences.
