I am a 3rd year PhD student at College of Computer and Information Science, Northeastern University, working with Prof. Ravi Sundaram. My reasearch interest includes computer wireless networks and antijamming techniques.

I was introduced to wireless networking during final year project in my under graduate program in Jadavpur University. After finishing my BE in computer science, I joined IBM India Software Lab, where I worked for 2 years and gathered great deal of knowledge on cloud computing and chip making processes. While working at IBM, I applied for PhD program to continue my research work.

After starting as a PhD student at Northeastern University, I have actively participated in several projects requiring ingrained knowledge on wireless networking. Few of my projects include Rendezvous and Energy efficient transmission. In my Rendezvous project I work on formulating efficient solutions to make wireless nodes meet with each other at earliest under multi-channel scenario. Presently, I am mainly concerned with protocols guaranteeing eventual rendezvous of nodes. But, inherently, randomized protocols, which only guarantee rendezvous with high probability (but, not strict upper bound on time to rendevous), work more efficiently in presence of a jammer in the network. So, my future plan is to explore the realm of randomized protocols in rendevous problem. In my other project, I am aiming to come up with an algorithm to compute energy efficient route in a wireless transmission, when nodes in the network are capable of accumulating energy from a transmission. This technique of accumulating energy gives wireless nodes more power over traditional wireless scenario, in a way that, under traditional scenario, nodes throw away undecodable receptions, but under newly proposed model, nodes store such packets. With the help of multiple such undecodable receptions of the same packet, nodes are able to successfully decode.

Although my primary area of research is computer wireless networks, I do like to explore other interesting aspects of computer science as well.
