I hail from Sri Lanka, where I completed my undergraduate education at the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), and ventured in to grad school here at the College of Computer and Information Science at the Northeastern University.
I've always been fascinated by computers, and I remember my dad's 8086 with 640K of RAM, and typing in GW-BASIC code from a book (and not knowing how to save them!) and I've been hooked since then.
Right now, I have just finished my co-op at SeaChange International in Acton, MA, the industry leader of Video-on-Demand and advertising technology. Before coming to the US, I worked for two years at IFS R&D. During my undergraduate studies, I also completed a one-year internship with Virtusa, both in Colombo, Sri Lanka. During my period at IFS, I was also a part-time lecturer at IIT.
