Networking and Distributed Computing Seminar

Spring 1999

The purpose of this seminar is to discuss research problems related to networked-based computing and communications, and examine solutions to these problems and their implementation in the LNDC laboratory.

In this quarter, we plan to discuss some recent papers in QoS routing (both unicast and multicast), Web caching, and Internet-wide storage
systems.  These papers would be selected from the latest networking, operating systems, and theory conferences.  A tentative list of papers is included below.

If you are interested in participating, please send a brief email message specifying relevant background. To follow the seminar, you should have background in networking and operating systems. You will be expected to contribute to our meetings by presenting a research paper and/or helping with the design/implementation of distributed system support.
