       Doing research is about progressively focused
       decisionmaking.  Don't expect to get everything
       sorted out once and for all and then get on with
       it. You will find yourself constantly facing
       decisions about what to do next, how to interpret
       this set of data, what is significant and so on.

       If you can't solve a problem, then there is an
       easier problem you can solve - find it!
