August 14 to September 1: Ashland OR into California and Then Off the PCT

On August 16, April and Eric decided to leave the PCT due to a foot injury that Eric sustained. After that, they traveled in Northern California, then went to Bandon Oregon, and then back to Bend Oregon to meet up with Eric's parents, Terry and Sylvia. Terry, Eric, and April climbed South Sister. In a voice clip on September 1, Eric talks about the decision to leave the PCT and their plans for further adventures.
