IHOP: The Lengend Continues...

We have been trying to "relive" the memories by going back every third Sunday morning. We can't seen to get all seven back together because of our busy schedules but we will always be (important sounding music) the ihop seven!

IHOP Update: Jan 12 was set for the first ihop of '97! Everyone except Todd was supposed to show but only DaveM, George and Paul made it there. Since we were a small group and it was cold outside, we went to Bruger's Bagels instead.

IHOP Update: Mar 2, 1997 was the day, but no one showed up yet again! DaveB and Paul decided to get a quick breakfast over at Pour House instead of trekking down to ihop. Oh well, maybe next time.

IHOP Update: Apr 20, 1997: the first Ihop in Months. Everyone except Todd and Josh showed up. (Anyone see a pattern here) We all had a good time. DaveM got the chocolate chip pancakes, once again.

IHOP Update: May 11, 1997: Todd and Josh (again) did not show up. Karen also could not make it. We all acted silly. DaveM did NOT get the chocolate chip pancakes!

IHOP Update: Nov something (1997). DaveM, Josh and I went for a small ihop run.

IHOP Update: Feb 3, 1998. First IHOP of 1998! George, DaveB, DaveM and myself attended. We decided that Pour House was a better spot to discuss the new year. Karen _said_ she was coming, but never showed...

IHOP Update: April 19, 1998. IHOP had a special guest, George's girlfriend Cindy. DaveB, DaveM, George, Cindy, Josh and myself were there. Karen _said_ she was coming, but "something came up" \/\/hatever! DaveM had the chocolate chip pancakes!

IHOP Update: August 2, 1998. IHOP was graced with the present of Todd who was recently back from his study abroad to New Zeland. DaveM drove us and his new car to the IHOP in Watertown. What fun. DaveM did _NOT_ have the chocolate chip pancakes. Paul, Todd and DaveM were the only attending members.

IHOP Update: January 10, 1999. First iHop of '99. Five members showed: Paul, Todd, Karen, Josh and George. Karen and Josh are recently back after finishing a 6 month co-op with Microsoft. DaveB couldn't make it because he was feeling sick. DaveM was no where to be found. No one got the chocolate chip pancakes.

IHOP Update: May 9, 1999. A dinner iHop was scheduled for Woody's. This may be the last chance for all seven to meet for a long time. Six showed, one did not. George ditched at the last minute with a lame excuse. Forty-four days until we graduate. DaveM did make it this time but did not get the chocolate chip pancakes.

IHOP Update: June 29, 1999. Well 8 days after the big graduation day, we have all gone our own ways. DaveM is working at a camp all summer and will only be in Boston a few times. Todd is in training for most of July in CT. Karen has left for Microsoft in sunny Redmond. Will the group ever have all seven together again?? Stay tuned....

IHOP Update: December 27, 1999. They said it would never happen. We defied the odds, all seven met in one place for a reunion dinner. Vinnie Testa's hosted the first annual iHop Holiday dinner. DaveM did come but Vinnie's doesn't have chocolate chip pancakes. Karen was here from sunny Seattle. Do we have to wait another year for a all-seven reunion? Stay tuned....

IHOP Update: May 2, 2000. And they said it wouldn't last... First iHop of the year 2000. For this special occasion we trekked to iHop Watertown. It was a small group of George, DaveM and PaulG. Paul had the chocolate chip pancakes for the first time. DaveM also got the chocolate chip pancakes.

IHOP Update: Jan 2, 2001. We thought we had six but only four could make it. What a shame. It was DaveB, George, DaveM and PaulG. We went to Border Cafe in Harvard Square. DaveM did not get the chocolate chip pancakes or any pancakes for that matter.

IHOP Update: May 26, 2001. The first ever iHop wedding. Karen was married in a drunken ceremony that lasted several days. . All seven of us were together for the first time since 12/27/1999. DaveM tried to get chocolate chip pancakes but had to settle for the chicken. A good time was had by all.

IHOP Update: Jan 3, 2002. First (And probably last) iHop of 2002. Four members and one guest: Paul, George, DaveM, Karen and Rob Uttecht. We went to Figs restaurant which is owned by Iron Chef Todd English. DaveM had a salad and tried to get chocolate chips put on top but none were available.

IHOP Update: Dec 27, 2002. Two iHop's in one year. PaulG, George, DaveM and Todd Muchless made the trek to TGIFridays on Newbury. I think we haven't been to an actual iHop in a really long time. DaveM asked for the Jack Daniels chocolate chip pancakes but they weren't available. How many iHops will be in 2003?? Stay tuned...

IHOP Update: June 25, 2004. First iHop of 2004 and first since 2002! It was a big day with Mrs. K back in town. PaulG, Karen, Josh and Todd dined on fine fish at the Legal Seafood. Todd asked for the chocolate chip salmoncakes but they were all out. Will we ever go to an actual iHop again? Will be ever get all seven back together? Will I ever stop updating this page? Stay tuned...

IHOP Update: December 26, 2005. We made it in 2005! We had the biggest crowd ever: George & Cindy, Todd & Krista, Josh, PaulG, DaveM, and special guest Jeff (aka Jeffroooooo). We dined at the Legal Seafoods in Copley. Hmmm maybe we should change this group name to the Legal 7?? Next time _I_ pick the restaurant. Neither Todd nor DaveM had anything to do with chocolate chips or pancakes. But we did have Old Salty Dog ale from Harpoon. Yummmmmmm. We will meet in 2006? Will DaveB ever come back to us? STAY TUNED....

IHOP Update: April 28, 2007. Guess we missed 2006. Seven (but NOT the original seven) made it for dinner at the brand new Border Cafe in Burlington. Guest appearance by Arturo and Melissa (Arturo is the stand in for either Josh, Todd, DaveM or DaveB). Regular stars George & Cindy, Karen, PaulG & Ralitsa were there as well. Next time we should dine at a real iHop again even though the chocolate chip burritos were yummy. Thanks to Karen for informing me of my update tardiness. Is anyone reading these stupid updates? Will Josh join us again? You know what do do: Stay Tuned!!!!
