This is a Protocol Evaluation Platform for Multiple (Cross-Layer) MANET Protocols based on Linux operating system, Click Modular Router, Atheros chipset based 802.11 wireless adapter, and the Linux madwifi driver.
The platform features virtually simutaneous evaluation of multiple MANET protocols under real environment. In addition, it allows its users to transparently develop and evaluate their own protocols within the platform.
The platform embeds network time synchronization, time virtualization, protocol synchronization, link virtualization, performance monitoring and power/rate/modulation control on a per packet basis.
To demostrate the usefulness of the platform, we also provide an implementation of dynamic source route (DSR) routing protocol for Click. Under the current configuration, the platform executes two identical instances of DSR.
