Contractor
* Wrote test routines for customer products according to detailed
  specifications.
* Wrote applications in C for loading barcode information into customer 
  circuit boards.

College of Computer Science, Northeastern University   Jan. 2000 to Dec. 2001
Web Developer
* Led initial development phase of new website for the College of Computer 
  Science (yet to be deployed), using Zope, Apache, Perl, and XML.
* Ran several in-depth user-training sessions for the faculty and staff.

Systems Group Co-op Employee
* Administered the College's computing environment, a heterogeneous network 
  consisting of approximately 300 hosts running Solaris, Tru64 Unix, and 
  Windows NT/2000.
* Wrote several tools in Java and Perl to automate system administration
  tasks.
* Migrated critical network services including NIS master server, DHCP 
  server, and the user account management system from obsolete hardware to a 
  Sun E450.
* Served as primary DNS administrator for the College's Internet domain.
* Directed the first major reorganization of the College's data center in 
  over five years.

College Intern
* Designed and wrote a multithreaded Win32 application for remote operation 
  of the company's flagship fiber-optic transmission tester using Visual C++ 
  and LabWindows CVI.  
* As part of the technical marketing group, acted as a liaison between the 
  engineering department and major customers such as Lucent Technologies and 
  Nortel Networks.
* Duplicated and diagnosed customer problems by building test environments.  
* Designed and wrote software to demonstrate Dense Wave Division Multiplexing
  at the SuperComm 1998 telecommunications trade show.

Languages:  Python, Java, C/C++ (GCC, MFC, MSVC++), Perl, Bourne shell 
Systems:    Extensive programming and system administration
            experience on Unix/Linux (Solaris 2.6/2.8, Redhat,
            Slackware, Debian) and Win32 platforms.  Experience with
            DNS servers, (BIND named), Web servers (Apache, Zope),
            NIS and NFS.
Networking: Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite, HTTP, DNS, and DHCP
            protocols.
