You must keep a course journal in a note book. Keep a separate notebook for your lecture notes. Purpose:Keeping a personal course journal has three purposes: (1) it will help you manage your readings and your partnership; (2) it will teach you how to take notes; and (3) you will need to document problems with your partnership in case you want to switch. Your journal will have two kinds of entries: reading entries and meeting entries. Reading Entry:Every time you read in the text book, enter a reading entry into your journal. It consists of two lines: date (when you read) and sections (what you read). Meeting Entries:Create a new page for each meeting. The first five lines should specify:
