Hi Class -
A few students have mentioned that once they compiled and ran the ap
library with the checker plugin attached, it did not report any violations.
Please make sure:
you have downloaded the version of the plugin you are using after 12/9.
- a small bug fix was made that morning.
you are not receiving compile errors, i.e. there are no tasks in the
tasks view.
you are using java 1.4 or greater as the java runtime library.
If all of these are the case, and you still cannot see any violations
and an empty log file is being generated, you can try a command_line
version of the assignment I have placed in the solutions directory
(inside the original "final exam part2 test project" folder.
Instructions regarding how to run it are included. Remember that you
will still need java 1.4 installed to run the checker.
Let me know if you have any more problems.
For those of you trying this at school, I am pretty sure there is a java
1.4 library you can point your project to in Eclipse. I am waiting to
here back from Pengcheng Wu as to where that might be. You can continue
on with the other parts of the final exam in the mean time and hopefully
I will be able to give you more information as to where 1.4 is on the
computers at school tomorrow at the latest.
Sorry for the inconvenience,
Paul
