I glanced through the Eclipse documentation and could not determine a
way to set the location of the runtime directory explicitly. I also
looked through some of the files in the runtime workspace directory and
as far as I can tell, it doesn't appear that there is specific user
information saved there so I think there will probably be a conflict if
two students are trying to use the runtime workbench at the same time.

To fix this immediately, you can simply not use the runtime workbench.
 Instead, copy your files to the plug-in directory and shutdown and
restart eclipse (or perhaps just start another eclipse instead of
shutting down the first one). This may be the better solution anyway as
I think you may have problems trying to add the aspect nature to a
project when testing inside the runtime workbench.

Perhaps another fix for another day would be to write a small plugin
that allows the user to specify a runtime workbench directory.
