Grossmutter's Schokoladekuchen ============================== adapted for wedding cake 1 stick butter melt it in warm container 420g sugar 1 table spoon vanilla sugar 3 eggs mix together with blender until sugar is dissolved 160g Hazelnuts, ground (cake gets better if you use more) 2 table spoons pure Kirsch from Basel :-) 125g chocolate or chocolate powder: melt baking chocolate with butter 1.5 dl milk add and mix well 250g flour (a little more than 2 cups) baking powder for 3 cups of flour (I think 3 times 5 ml = 3 tea spoons) a little bit of salt mix well, fill into "Springform" (round cake pan, 26 cm diameter) use butter on cake form to prevent sticking How to bake: 350 degrees Fahrenheit, start checking after 40 minutes. Needle should come out clean after inserting it into the center of cake. Decorate with Joy's delicious, secret frosting.
