Training Needed
Bioinformatics is like AI but instead of focusing on the mind, it focuses on the human body. It in simple terms is the use of computers to speed up the rate at which we learn about ourselves, (what genes producewhat protein, how will we be able to treat cancer better, etc) and so naturally, you need to have a very in-depth knowledge of not only Biology but also Computer Science. Some other requirements that are found to be needed to get a job in this field are mostly task related (if the task is for the treatment of cancer, you should know about past cancer treatment improvements) but it seems that almost every job requires good oral and written communication skills, and indepth knowledge of programming languages, the most common was Java.
