TaraseReport - Part of my Foundations of Information Science grade was determined by a final paper that had some rather strict formatting requirements. I decided to use the powerful typesetting application LaTeX and soon realized I would need to invent an entire class file to adhere to the formatting. This is documentation of that class file, and some of the resources I found helpful in constructing it.
My first and probably most popular guide about customizing hardware and software to make fedora an enjoyable and productive experience on the zd7000. It covers everything from recompiling the kernel to include ndiswrapper for wireless to firefox plugins. Some of the information is outdated by later revisions of FC and its included software but I still go back to it for reference on occasion.
There’s very little to do hardware wise that is not already detected and configured by Ubuntu. I focused my efforts on customizing the desktop enviroment GNOME
This experiment didn’t last all that long. While FreeBSD has awesome documentation, too many unsupported driver issues and maybe my lack of prior BSD experience let me scurrying back to Ubuntu. It seemed like a great server system but there were definitely better desktop distributions at the time.
Good for any version of this pocket knife operating system, the following guide shows you how to create a persistent Knoppix environment which keeps things like the 1440x900 screen resolution and network settings on a usb key read while booting.
I suffer from function key withdrawal when I am using any Linux distro as opposed to Windows simply because the keyboard on the zd7000 is somewhat weird and not completely supported. This is the keyboard driver download page and a howto about doing it yourself for another laptop.
This is the most streamlined document I can recommend to anyone who wants to improve their skills in cleaning an infected machine of spyware and viruses. I wrote it for junior technicians working at Northeastern Universities' Residential Network Resource Center thought the material could be used for the greater good.
I helped to completely innovate how training is done at ResNet, part of which was to virtualize training environments using vmware server and player. When working with less than optimal hardware its important to performance tune the client machine to keep the experience as authentic as possible. Vmware Performance Tuning is a Google notebook I collected in that mission.

Space Exploration in the twenty-first century would not be possible without the help of Information Technology. Moon landings, space stations, missions to other planets and even the study of Earth are all facilitated by the processing, transmission, storage and distribution of data and data products. This report investigates those relationships by going back to when mankind first looked to the stars, to the race for the moon, to missions today and tomorrow in the search of how IT enables and continues to facilitate man's quest for the final frontier.
As humanity moves into the twenty-first century, peoples of the free world are coming together like never before. For the first time in mans history, the seeds of democracy are being sown in every corner of the earth. In an effort to teach democratic values and civic principles to individuals in emerging democracies, the free worlds contribute huge amounts of resources in civic education programs. This outreaching from one people to another represents the most important part in the creation of a democracy. A fact I intend on proving in the following study.

This phone it the bane of my existence. I urge anybody in the market for the xv6600 to please listen to my experiences and make your decision accordingly. I have created a list of minimum expectations of PDA's in general which anybody, regardless of the device they are looking for, should make sure their investment meets in order for it to bring the functionality and reliability you really do need.
Seeing as I cant touch anything without trying to put linux on it, and seeing that the windows mobile OS is lacking in so many areas, I figured Id give it try.
