Jeff's Projects

If you are interested in finding out "What has Jeff done?" or "What kinds of things is he capable of?" then you are at the right place.

Let's start off with the traditional...
Here is my resume Word format and in HTML .

These are some of the best projects that I've done.

Bouncing Ball Project Summer 1999 I am very proud of the design and implementation of this project. I wrote this program for my Computer Graphics Class in the Summer of 1999. It implements a graphical implementation of a 2D bouncing ball in a window on top of X windows. It has been successfully compiled and run under Solaris and Linux. It was designed using an Object Oriented method and coded in C++. I'm proud of this project because it is extensible and robust. It can take a large number of parameters and the code is well organized and planned. Complete - ALMOST. This one is close though. I'd like to go back and clean up some of the small memory leaks that cause this program to crash when running for over 5 minutes.
Epro Mailer Project December 1999 I created a Perl Script to automatically email network performance graphs to system administrators for Harvard University Network Operations Center. This program has a web interface that allows users to sign up and choose which images they would like to receive via email. This program is setup to run regularly so all I need to do is sit back and watch it go! Ongoing - This project works and is currently running but I need to add more functionality to the web interface. It would be nice for a user to be able to delete himself or one of his folders through the web interface.
Data Compression Project Spring 1996 I did this project for my Honors Computer Science Seminar. I document some of the theory behind Data Compression and the Huffman Encoding. I am not an expert in this area, but I learned a bit by doing this project. I designed the site using frames so that the definition of a technical term could be viewed in one window while the user keeps his place in the document. Incomplete & Inactive - I haven't spent any time on this in 4 years. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday... maybe not.

I have taken the following courses:
