Miost drives sold these days are very low power, even the larger ones. So though I can't say for sure, it is unlikely that power wil be the issue. The size is a much bigger issue. As to your question about the K2500 conversion disks for the K2000, that would not change the issue for the K2000 at all. (I assume you are referring to the disks sold by Sweetwater). It is important to understand that those disks do not change the software. They are merely disks that have a file containing the objects from the K2500, along with some additional samples (for the drums).
