Open Positions
I'm looking for students at all levels as well as some hourly help and full-time research staff.
Students
- Ph.D. students interested in developing the next generation of health technologies that measure and motivate behavior change. If you are not enrolled at NEU already in a PhD program, consider applying ot the PhD Program in Personal Health Informatics or the PhD Program in Computer Science.
- M.S. students that wish to get research experience
- MPH or health sciences students that wish to get research experience
- Undergraduate students interested in doing a research co-op or summer internship, or contributing during the term
Postdocs or full-time research staff
- Funding I obtain: At this time, I do not have long-term funding for postdocs.
- Funding I help you obtain: For academics working in personal health informatics and who have a research interest that aligns with the mHealth group, I am willing to help with proposals to obtain postdoc positions.
Part time research staff
I am looking for a number of part time people. These could be either students at Northeastern or professionals outside of Northeastern who are working on a part-time or contract basis. Areas of interest are:
- Pattern recognition experts (particularly with experience with Weka, Java, Matlab, and real-time implementations)
- Android programmers
- Web database experts
- Game developers
- Open-source software/hardware proponents
- Graphic designers/UI designers who have worked with mobile interface design
- Data annotator for the Boxlab project (hourly)
- Researchers interested in public health intervention evaluation
- Videographer (to help develop the PHI website)
