My research is in the fields of Human-Computer Interactions (HCI), Computer-supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW), and Personal Health Informatics. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Northeastern University, where I worked with Professor Andrea G. Parker at the Wellness Technology Lab. I received a Fulbright scholarship for my Computer Science Master's program in 2012-2014.
My research aim is to investigate how technologies can help individuals and communities manage their health and wellbeing, towards addressing health disparities. I specifically examine how storytelling, gamification, visualization, and data reflection can be supported in health technologies. To examine these research areas, I have been conducting the entire human-centered design process by designing, building, and evaluating novel health technologies in collaboration with local community partners.
