Hours of Course Sequences

This is an unofficial description of the course sequences and times based on my own understanding. There is no guarantee of correctness. Please consult official Northeastern University information for an authoritative description.

Semester Course Sequence Schedule

Undergraduate courses are 3 x 65 minutes or else 2 x 95 minutes. There are time periods for classes, with overlapping time periods for labs (lab time periods not included). Activities Period in CCIS is usually used for faculty meetings.

Old Quarter Course Sequence Schedule (obsolete)

Undergraduate courses are 65 minutes. Fall, Winter and Spring courses follow the sequence time periods below. Summer courses follow a different sequence. Some of the lower level computer science courses take up 1-1/2 sequences. Graduate courses (and undergraduate courses that are combined with graduate courses) are often taught at night at varying hours. In Computer Science, they are usually taught from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and Thursday at 11:45 are activity periods, during which there are no classes. These slots are sometimes used for faculty committee meetings.
