All reading assignments, listed for every day of the course, can be found on the Syllabus-Calendar page.

All written assignments can be handed in to Professor Futrelle in class or placed in the large box in 161CN, the College of Computer Science main office in Cullinane Hall by 4:30pm on the day they are due. All papers must be labeled clearly with your name (printed!), your ID number, and the course designation (COM1317). If you hand in more than one sheet put this information on every individual sheet you hand in and of course, staple the sheets together. (Points will be deducted if you do not follow these directions -- for example, you can buy a small stapler or use the one in the College office. Do not hand in multiple sheets, unstapled.)

The first written assignment, Assignment #1 was due Thursday 5 April and consisted of writing out answers to questions 15.1, 15.3, 15.11 and 15.14.

NEW! Assignment #2 is due Tuesday, May 1st and consists of writing out answers to questions 23.1, 23.2, 23.3, 23.8, 23.9, 23.10, 23.11, 23.16 and 23.25. Hand in by placing your assignment (stapled!) in the carboard "Futrelle" box in 161CN no later than 4pm.
