Ed Koehler grew up in Springfield, studied architecture in Chicago, and returned to Massachusetts after serving in Korea. He is an architect and was art director of "Jazz New England" magazine. He had a sixty foot mural, "Satin Doll," at the Back Bay Hilton. He gave a lecture on his work at Bemis Hall in 2006, and exhibited it at Emerson Hospital in early 2007.
