Completed Website Projects

Spectrum Literary Arts Magazine

The layout for this page was finished in a week or so, however, it stayed under construction for months because most of the archives had to be rewritten. To gain more experience with styles, I decided to use CSS for the first time. All pictures were either taken from the old site, or from pdf files of the archived magazines. Buttons were made in Fireworks, and the title was made in Photoshop.

Cauldron Yearbook

This was my first effort at designing a website other than my own. The picture on the main page was taken from the old site, but all other graphics were made in Photoshop. The buttons for the navigation bar were animated in Macromedia Fireworks. Looking back, I think this was a good learning experience for what works well and what doesn't in web design.

Personal Website v.1

After making a very basic website in Notepad, I decided I wanted to try something a little more complex. Using Dreamweaver, I mainly used tables to for the entire layout. I basically designed the site as I went, and as a result, some of the formatting on the different pages varies slightly. Also, without using CSS, the site was disorganized and difficult to manage. After a while, I decided to scrap the design and start with a fresh idea.
