I get asked this question enough that I decided to let everyone in on the secret. The J stands for John. There, I said it. Now forget about it. I don't go by John. Most people call me Dan. (the exceptions being my close friends who have varying nicknames for me) You can address me J. Daniel if you want, but it just seems too formal.
