About Me

My name is Chung Vuong. I am pictured on the left with my dog, Benji, who shares my appreciation for argyle sweaters. I am currently a second year Computer Science student at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. I have taken Computer Science classes on Object-Oriented and Functional programming, Computer Organization, Logic, Discrete Structures, as well as in other disciplines such as Chinese, Philosophy, Microeconomics, and Mathematics. I consider my primary programming language to be Java, although I am always open to learning. Most programs that I have written outside of class have been developed in Java, so that is why I am more familiar with it (you can see some examples on my projects page.

Outside of my major studies and related outside interests, I also enjoy music. I am pretty old school and listen to mainly music from the 60's through the 80's. Don't get me started on music tastes because I am admittedly pretty close-minded about that, and I do not like many artists in today's industry. I am also an amatuer guitar player and singer. I mainly cover songs at open mics or record them on my computer at home, but I am also beginning to write some of my own music. I consider my biggest influences to be The Beatles, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel, and a Chinese singer from Hong Kong called Sam Hui.
