  • Revolutionary War Re-enacting
  • Visit the 2nd Mass WebSite Now!I am involved in the hobby of re-enacting the American Revolutionary War. It was within this hobby that (in 1992) I became a member of Col. Bailey's 2nd Massachusetts Regiment. As a result of the enjoyment I've received from the hobby, I had taken it upon myself to develop, implement, and maintain the very first American Revolutionary War Web Site dedicated to the re-enactment of the American Revolution. This site has even appeared on the New Hampshire Public Television Network, Education Exchange (Show #7 - The Internet). I recently incorporated most of the site into the Official 2ndMass Web Site.

In the time I have been a re-enactor, I have travelled all over the United States and even Canada. We have been from the Plains of Abraham in Quebec, Canada to Colonial Willamsburg, VA. I've marched in numerous parades (the 1992 sleigh bell parade in Boston) and even had the chance to go to a firing range to do a "Live Fire" demonstration where we actually did target shooting with our muskets!

Along the way I've made more friends and learned more about the birth of this country than anything I learned throughout school. The hobby even affords me the opportunity to participate in documentary filmings such as the recent RevWar series on A&E (January 1995) to kick off the debut of the NEW History Channel. The documentary series gave many of the men in my regiment and others the chance to become the characters and soldiers of the Revolution.

If you have any questions concerning this excellent hobby and learning experience, please don't hesitate to send me e-mail or browse the 2nd Mass Web Site.....you won't be sorry!!

  • Home-Brewing
  • I am also a beginning homebrew enthusiast. I have been brewing homemade beer for only about a year now, but I find it a fun hobby. Trying to calculate the effects of the numerous ingredients in varying amounts while boiling for differing times is a bit challenging. However, it is usually worth the 2-3 month wait for the finished product. Since I began brewing, I've also began designing my own beer labels as well. I soon hope to piece together my own cornelius kegging equipment setup in order to shorten the turn around time to only a few weeks.
