Hertzberger, Bob and Giuseppe Serazzi, eds. High Performance Computing and Networking. New York: Springer, 1995.

This book is for experts only. If you work in the High Performance Computing field, you may make some sense out of it.

Tentner, Adrian M., ed. "High Performance Computing: Grand Challenges in Simulation." Communications of the ACM 37.3 (1994):28-64.

Contains several articles about simulation and massively parallel computing. Informative but very dry.
