The graduate school features master’s and doctoral programs in Computer Science as well as cutting edge interdisciplinary degrees in Health Informatics and Information Assurance. With approximately 200 master’s students and 65 doctoral students from over 20 countries, CCIS offers a simultaneously global and individualized academic experience across all of our programs.
Our Ph.D. in Computer Science prepares students to conduct state-of-the-art computer science research in preparation for careers in government, industry, or academia. Along with the Bouvé College of Health Sciences, we are proud to offer the highly unique M.S. in Health Informatics program. Combining CCIS’s technical expertise with the knowledge and practices of the healthcare professionals of Bouvé, this program educates students to respond to the critical shortage of health informatics professionals around the country.
Our M.S. in Information Assurance program, in collaboration with the College of Criminal Justice, addresses the need for management to possess a common sensitivity, understanding and competence in the foundation, issues, and technology of information assurance.
The College of Computer and Information Science maintains a strong research profile with significant funding from major federal research agencies and private industry. With a substantial increase in faculty strength and research funding in recent years, we are actively seeking highly motivated, bright, hardworking students who are interested in expanding their knowledge and capabilities in the world of computer science!
