Seattle is an exciting, youthful city that draws talented students and professionals from around the globe to meet its expanding demand in the technology sector. It boasts a well-education work force, lively city life, and beautiful scenery- all contributing to its rank as the #2 “best city” to live anywhere in the United States. Plus, no matter where you call home, there are a wide range of cultural organizations to keep you connected with your community, your heritage, and your culture.
Additionally, Seattle is home to some of the most recognizable names in software and technology, many of which employ Northeastern’s co-op and alumni. Companies like Amazon.com, Microsoft, F5, Big Fish, Tableau and Zillow are hungry for the skills that a Northeastern education provides, as each year they are forced to leave more than 5,000 computer science positions unfilled due to lack of qualified talent. According to industry data, computer science professionals in the Seattle area earn an average of $103,000 per year.
