HEALTH INSURANCE
Massachusetts law requires all full-time, domestic students, and every international student, to be enrolled in a health insurance plan for coverage of unanticipated medical costs.
All graduate students are automatically enrolled in the Northeastern University Student Health Insurance Plan (NUSHIP). This is an affordable option for students without coverage that allows graduate students to obtain care at University Health and Counseling Center. Graduate students may waive NUSHIP by showing proof of comparable coverage. Students who waive coverage may pay an annual fee for their unlimited primary care at UHCC. Please visit the Health Plan Waiver page for more information.
HEALTH REPORT
All full-time or international graduate students taking courses on campus must submit a Health Report Form prior to enrolling at Northeastern University. The form can be found here.
This form needs to be returned to University Health and Counseling Services, NOT the graduate office. All questions regarding this form can be directed to uhcs@neu.edu.
Online-Only Students
Students who are taking courses exclusively online do not need to fulfill the health requirements.
