Assignment 2

This assignment is based on the Lucky7 program we discussed in class.
A zipfile of the Visual Basic project can be downloaded here.

Part I. Due Wednesday, Feb. 4

A. Design an enhanced version of the Lucky7 program with the following added features:

Try to follow the principles of window and screen design we have learned.  Turn in a 2-3 page hard copy design document that includes a description of your mechanisms for implementing these changes,  and a hand-drawn or computer-drawn  sketch of the new interface design.  (You may want to offer several sketches to show the different "states" of the program.)

B. In class we analyzed the "expected return" from each spin of the original Lucky7 game.  Analyze the expected return from each spin of the Lucky7 game as modified above (i.e., the impact of paying double for 2 sevens and triple for 3 sevens).

Part II. Due Wednesday Feb 11

Program your enhanced Lucky7 design in Visual Basic .NET.

Mail your program as an email message with a zipfile attachment, as you did in Assignment 1.  The "subject" line of the email should be
HW2 <yourname> .  The name of the attachment should be <yourlastname.zip> (it is necessary to convert your VB solution folder to a zip file in order to email it as an attachment).

Send the email to gjoliver@ccs.neu.edu  .  It is suggested that, throughout this course, you should be careful to keep copies of your work so that it can be re-submitted in case of any technical problems.
