This course design is based, in part, on several other exemplary HCI courses. The overall course structure and sequencing of topics, as well as the details of the team project assignments, are based heavily on the MIT 6.831 course taught by Prof. Robert Miller and available through MIT’s OpenCourseWare initiative. The scenario-based design material and many of the course readings are based on the previous NU CSG170 course taught by Prof. Carole Hafner. Elements were also drawn from NU ISU570 course taught by Prof. Peter Tarasewich, the Northwestern University course on Theories & Technologies for Human Communication taught by Prof. Justine Cassell, and the Principles of User Interface Software course taught by Prof. Gregory Abowd at Georgia Tech. The rest is my fault.
